Vancouver Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities across British Columbia. As Canada's largest community foundation, it manages more than 800 seperate endowment funds in excess of $560 million. In 2003, Vancouver Foundation distributed more than $32 million in income to community organizations across British Columbia.

In considering applications for funding, Vancouver Foundation relies on the expertise of more than 140 community leaders who volunteer their time to assess grant applications in each of our ten areas of funding; animal welfare, arts and culture, children, youth and families, disability supports for employment fund, education, environment, four pillars fund, health and social development, medical research and services and youth philanthropy.

Vancouver Foundation is also committed to helping donors support projects that enhance the quality of life in their communities.

The Contemporary Art Gallery is a non-profit public art gallery dedicated to the research, exhibition, documentation and education about visual art as it is practiced locally, nationally and internationally. It strives to generate significant local audiences for its activities and exhibitions, and a profile that is international in scope. The gallery’s exhibitions and programs explore and record the fluid transformations of artistic practices as they are shaped by social forces. The Contemporary Art Gallery fosters dialogue, connection and new understandings of collective meanings and values.

The CAG is funded by municipal, provincial and federal granting agencies as well as through private, corporate and foundation gifts. Incorporated in 1976, the CAG is a registered charity (Charity # 887-137-396-RR001). The CAG is goverened by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by members of the gallery.

The Contemporary Art Gallery administers all aspects of the VADA Awards.
